Using the new University of Glasgow Moodle Template

To improve student and staff user experience, the University has introduced a new template for Moodle courses. From September 2024, new Moodle courses will be expected to use these templates that will improve consistency between courses and make finding content easier.
This webinar will introduce you to the new template, and let you practise using the Moodle Course Template Wizard. We'll go step by step through the process of creating a new course with the templatepicker wizard. We’ll also practice different methods for copying and importing content between Moodle courses.
Please note that the Course Creation Wizard is only available to users with ‘Manager’ permissions in Moodle.

With the Moodle Activity Completion function you can specify completion conditions for any activity or resource, and these can be tracked and viewed by instructors to get an overview of all students’ progress through the components of the course. Students can also see their own progress.
This webinar will also demonstrate how completion criteria are used with Restrict Access to link activities and resources together so that students have to follow structured pathways through the content on your course. This is a helpful way to scaffold students’ use of your Moodle course.
