UofG hosts Organization for Human Brain Mapping

Glasgow welcomed 2,700 attendees in-person and virtually

The annual meeting of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) was held here in Glasgow at the SEC on June 19-23, with local hosts across schools of MVLS, led by the School of Psychology and Neuroscience.

The Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) is an international society dedicated to using brain imaging to discover the organization of the human brain, and we welcomed over 2,700 attendees in person and virtually.

Chair of the Local Organising Committee Prof Lars Muckli said “It was an honour to host the world’s leading brain imaging conference here in Glasgow. Our LOC and numerous supporting colleagues worked over several months towards this fantastic opportunity. We were delighted to showcase Glasgow's vibrant human brain imaging community and welcome our international friends and colleagues to Glasgow”.

There were additional events surrounding the conference including the OHBM BrainHackathon, an event for anyone interested in brains to work collaboratively on common projects and learn about new ideas and tools in open science, and OHBM satellite NiPreps Hackathon, organised by Oscar Esteban and Russ Poldrack.
